By grace you have been saved, and this is not your own doing, it is…. the Gift of God.
Starting 1st August, HTD’s 6pm service will be journeying through the book of Ephesians with the theme “God Gives”. What does God give? Life, Hope, Grace, Power, Unity, Light, Roles and Strength.
Your presenters for the evenings are Andrew Reid, Jono Smith, Matt Scheffer and a guest appearance by Paul Barker.
A prophet refuses God’s commands, flees across the waters, is thrown overboard by zealous pagan sailors, saved by a giant fish and cast up on a beach.
So begins one of the Bible’s most famous stories, one which has intrigued Christian readers for centuries. Is Jonah a Christ-like figure, spending three days in the belly of the whale before being sent to save a lost city? Or is he a disobedient sulker whom God teaches a lesson about love and mercy?
Join us as our senior pastor Andrew Reid follows Jonah’s journey to the city of Nineveh. He considers what God might be teaching Jonah through the voyage, and what lessons we ourselves can learn about God’s compassion, his power and his patience.
A new series at HTD 6PM: “The Path: God’s Will for Your Life”
What is God’s will?
How do I know what God wants me to do with my life?
Should I pursue a career or pursue a partner?
What if I miss God’s plan for my life?
Does God even have a plan for my life?
Why is it so hard to make decisions?
The “Will of God” is one of the most confusing subjects in the Christian faith. Be at HTD 6PM starting June 6 to find out what “The Will of God” is all about.

Last year, a group participated in this work, and were really shocked at the devastation and how much work still needed to be done. Some of the things that we will be doing include re-establishing gardens, some heavy pruning of dead and burnt trees and possibly replanting fruit trees and more.
Meeting at the church Saturday April 17 at at 7:45am, arriving at Panton Hill church vicarage by 8.30 and then heading to the property. We will spend the rest of the day helping out with an open ended finishing time (if finish time is a concern for you please contact us and we will sort something out).
