Invitation to Induction of Rev. Andrew Reid as New Vicar at HTD
An invitation is extended to the Community to attend the induction of Rev. Andrew Reid as the new Vicar at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Doncaster. This will occur at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 4th May, 2010 at the Church, 106 Church Road (corner of Doncaster & Church Roads), Doncaster.
Archbishop Philip Freier announced in January, the appointment of Andrew as the new incumbent for the Parish of Holy Trinity Doncaster. Bishop Barbara Darling will conduct the induction service.
Andrew was ordained Priest in 1981 and has had a wide range of ministry experiences since then. Following his early parish ministry, Andrew was the National Director of AFES (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students) and he is recognised as having set the strategy and direction of what is now quite an effective means of outreach on our university campuses.
He was then Rector of St Matthews Shenton Park, which is the largest Anglican Church in Western Australia, before going into church planting mode at Curtin, also in Perth. Andrew has been lecturing in Old Testament at Ridley College since 2005 and has an international reputation as a preacher and teacher. He is an International Facilitator for Langham Preaching, leading the work in Pakistan from 2005 – 2008. Andrew will be leading the work in Papua New Guinea for the next couple of years and has also done some work for Langham in Chile.
Andrew is married to Heather and they have two married adult sons. It is very clear that as a couple they have a heart for mission both in the local area as well as overseas.
We are excited about the Archbishop’s appointment of Andrew as our new Vicar and we look forward to him joining us in May.
All are welcome to attend his induction service.

As one of a growing number of Andrew Reid’s who have attended HTD this is indeed good news.
