Every month, we make a prayer list, to remind ourselves to pray for our individual needs, the needs of our fellow beings, the needs of the church and the problems facing society at large. NOVEMBER 2007 Sunday:- Give thanks for the newly elected Vestry, Churchwardens and Incumbency Committee Pray for rest and refreshment for Paul on holidays later this month. Pray for fruitfulness in Paul’s roles as Vicar, Archdeacon, lecturer at Ridley and as a member of General Synod Standing Committee. Pray for the safety and health of all those who are going on the trip to Israel.
Monday:- Pray for fruitfulness for Wayne, Megan, Lisa, Ben Wong, David and Esther in their ministries and for all members of the congregation labouring in the Lord’s vineyard. Pray for all students doing exams — that they have the Lord’s peace and that they find the path that He has prepared for them to follow. Pray for staff planning on Nov. 5 & 6 for next year’s programs, ministry and activities. Pray that volunteers for various ministries in 2008 will ensure the ongoing gospel ministry at HTD.
Tuesday:- Pray for Megan and Phil Curlis-Gibson as they prepare for new ministry challenges at St Hilary’s, Kew. Pray that the Christ-committed Young Adults at Holy Trinity attracts others who will make informed decisions for Christ. Pray for CRE in schools, Christian Union in universities, outreach in the Playgroups, both Youth Groups and their leadership in the new year, and gospel opportunities at ESL. Pray for LinC and HTD’s participation within the local community.
Wednesday:- Pray for Overseas Council & for the Myanmar Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, Burma, as we support them in our Missions Budget. Pray that the Graze/Glover family will settle back quickly into Australian life. Give thanks for the mission to Port Hedland and pray that there will be good ongoing contacts. Pray for the Men’s Weekend for good fellowship, fun and growth.
Thursday:- Pray for preparations for Christmas and effective outreach in our community at this time. Give thanks for Mary Ren’s ministry with the Mandarin congregation and pray for her returning to Sydney to minister in a local church there. Give thanks to David, Esther & Andrew Ruan and the Mandarin Congregation. Also give thanks to Ben & Ivy Wong who do so much with the Mandarin Youth and Bilingual Young Adults.
Friday:- Pray for CEBS—the leaders as well as the boys attending. Pray for Bible readers and service leaders at all church services — give thanks for their faithfulness. Pray for Linda Drake in the office — that she glorifies God in her work. Pray for the Creche and the opportunities presented for couples to stay in church during sermons etc.
Saturday:- Pray for Peter, Elspeth & Stephen Young in Africa. Pray for safety and health and two more doctors for the hospital as Elspeth and another doctor try to attend to so many patients including HIV AIDS patients and families. Give thanks for Peter’s abilities and pray for his curriculum preparation for the next year.
