Children

Ensuring that children are nurtured and included as part of the church community is integral to the life of HTD.

This flows from our joyfully and actively embracing God’s attitude towards youngsters as the Bible, His inspired word, directs us. This Biblical concern for the welfare of children fuels our desire to provide safe, enjoyable, and age-appropriate activities for them to participate in. Duty of care is a natural outworking of this, and is closely monitored in each group to maintain, and exceed, the standards set by the Anglican Church of Australia. All leaders have current Police Checks and Working With Children cards and were each thoroughly vetted before being offered a position on the team.

Sunday School, a time for children to be encouraged in their learning about God through the Bible, is available for children from Kinder to Grade 6, at both the 10am and 1:30pm services. All children are most welcome.

The dedicated team of Sunday School leaders works especially hard to make the learning times not only informative and fun, but also accessible to children from a wide range of backgrounds. So, if your child hasn’t read the Bible before, you need not worry that they may feel left out, or that they will be unable to participate. Our leaders are there to take good care of your children.

For any enquiries relating to Childrens’ activities, feel free to contact the Childrens’ Minister, Matt Stevens, on 0415 527 709.

CEBS

BOYS GROUP (CEBS)

Got boys? Bring them to Junior CEBS.

The Junior Church of England Boys Society (Junior CEBS) branch at Holy Trinity Doncaster (HTD) is run for boys in grades 2 to 6 on Wednesday nights during school terms, from 7pm to 8.30pm. Activities are conducted on the church grounds, usually in the rear hall, with occasional trips organised off-site for activities such as roller-blading and footy in the park.

This is a group run especially for boys.

The Junior CEBS leaders organise an appropriately active program, combined with a time of learning about Jesus, and life, from the Bible. At HTD, we want to celebrate boys being boys, Therefore we plan programs with an emphasis on hands-on activities, where boys can learn new skills and test their strength in different ways.

Whilst there is a focus on high-energy activities, risk-assessment and duty of care standards play a key role in the operation of this group. All present leaders of Junior CEBS at HTD have current Police Checks and WWC cards, and were each thoroughly vetted before being offered a position on the team.

The code of behaviour expected of each member of the group can be found below.
The cost to attend is $1 per night, and all boys, whether or not their family attends a church, are welcome.
For any enquiries related to Junior CEBS, feel free to contact Matt Stevens (HTD Childrens’ minister, and current head of Junior CEBS) on 0415 527 709.
