An outward sign of Christian faith

Baptisms are included in our 10am service at dates to be arranged with you. Baptism is the outward sign of Christian faith and initiation into a Christian church. We take baptism and its promises seriously.

For those interested in having children or babies baptised (‘christened’), we suggest they come to the main 10am service and try it out. If such parents are keen to make Holy Trinity their church and be involved in its life and fellowship, then we run a baptism preparation course from time to time. This course runs over three or four weeks during the 10am service at the church.

The actual baptism takes place in one of the regular Sunday services, usually 10am for baptising little children or babies. We will confirm baptism dates once the preparation course has begun but we do not conduct baptisms in private services or every Sunday. If one parent is not interested in the Christian faith, then baptism can still be held for a child on the promises of one parent.

We also baptise adults and run the same sort of preparation for them. Baptisms of adults and children occur in the Mandarin service three times a year – at Easter, in August and before Christmas, after a preparation course. Please speak to Wayne Schuller, the locum Vicar, if you are interested in baptism.
